Summer Benefit 2026 was a night to remember! On a cloudless June evening, our guests filled Buttermilk Mountain Lodge with positive energy. The event was joyful at a time when joy is needed more than ever. Together, we celebrated the common threads we have as members of the English In Action family, and the power that each donor’s investment has to make a profound impact on the lives of our adult learners and volunteer tutors.
In his keynote remarks, longtime English In Action volunteer Samuel Bernal said, “In moments like this, allies matter more than ever. Human beings who choose empathy over fear. People who choose connection over division. People who understand that belonging is not something we take away from others. It is something we create together.”
English In Action is grateful to all our allies who showed up big time for our work this year. Every investment in our programs helps improve the language and leadership skills of adult immigrants in our valley and has a positive ripple effect on our schools, families and our economy.
