Fiesta de Tamales

<!–

While we were unable to host our Fiesta de Tamales in 2020 and 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic, our 2019 Fiesta de Tamales at Basalt High School was a resounding success. Over 600 guests enjoyed tamales & pupusas, homemade desserts, and lively entertainment provided by our Mariachi band and Aspen Santa Fe Ballet Folklórico. Kids created handicrafts with The Art Base, jumped till dark in the bouncy house, and cracked piñatas made by Aspen Middle School art students. A true cross-cultural event, the Fiesta was a celebration of our diverse community here in Colorado’s Roaring Fork Valley.

English In Action’s Fiesta de Tamales is a family-friendly event that brings together hundreds of community members from different backgrounds for an authentic multicultural celebration. The Fiesta is a fun and affordable fundraiser, with all proceeds going directly to support English In Action’s mission to help adults learn English and foster a more cohesive community. After a pandemic-era hiatus, the Fiesta returned in September 2023. Over 100 volunteers came together to make the event happen, and 400+ guests attended in support of English In Action’s essential language development and community engagement programs.
